Housing in St Charles County - September 2010

Well here we are in the middle of the worst housing property value decline in the last 40+ years. Gone are the days of double and triple digit appreciation with states like California, Nevada, Arizona leading the way. Foreclosures are up some 32% compared to last year at this time. You know the rest of the story, closed plants, consumer cut back, and 401K losses. It has been a rough last 1-2 years and may go one for a while longer.

But how are things in St Charles County? From my end it seems, the older homes 10-15 years are doing fairly good. But the newer homes, especially the homes sold in the last few years 2006-2008 are taking quite a hit. I  won't state a percent range, because every development is different, pending location, price range, etc.

If you would like to see the status of investment, that could be done with a Real Property Appraisal. See the  Pricing - Contact page, which incorporates a form that will be sent directly to us.
